Green Flag Successes for 2008

Well done to the many MCPC software users who are Green Flag Award winners this year. For details of the winners for this year please follow this link, Green Flag Award Winners.

The awards celebrate and acknowledge significant achievement in the provision of high quality green spaces for local communities.

DTE software users who were successful on this occasion include Copeland Borough Council, Wrexham County Borough Council, Hyndburn Borough Council and Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council. To learn more about their stories click on the individual links provided.

 
Ipswich Go Wild In The Country

Ipswich Borough Council is the latest to organisation to take advantage of the remote capabilities of the Down To Earth suite of applications and in this case with DTE Trees management software.

Our Tree management software has been popular for a number of years with arboriculture managers and has had capability for users to carry out inspections using handheld PDA’s.

Now though, all the tools of DTE Trees software can be utilised in the field or the wood to be more appropriate!!
Inspections, work orders, notices ….. can all be noted and acted upon without returning to base. Synchronisation can be upon return to office base or from in the field using a GPRS/3G enabled mobile phone.

 
Allotment Management Colony Grows
We would like to take the opportunity to welcome a new user to the Colony family of users. The London Borough of Camden Council has selected Colony software to assist in the management of their Allotment colonies.


They were particularly concerned with the production of invoices and subsequent linking with corporate finance systems in this case a Cedar based system.

Currently undergoing installation and training, with the latest version 3.0.5.0, they are looking to be live with the Colony system very soon.

Please note this latest version of Colony, 3.0.5.0, is available to download for all current users free of charge and includes a great number of developments for users to benefit from.

 
Colony Allotment Software Update Available

Colony version 3.0.5.0 Upgrade

N.B. This upgrade is for Office XP Only (Access XP).
Do not attempt to load this if you are using Access2000 or Access2000 Runtime.


The full upgrade is available by download from the Download/Update section of this website. You will require your correct User Name and password to enter this section of the Website.

This latest version of Colony has even more functionality than previous editions. The enhancements are prompted by active users and so reflects strongly the needs of Allotment Managers today.

This upgrade has a large number of enhancements for many sections of Colony including improvements to System Wide Capabilities, Monitoring Screens, System Administration, Set-Up, Letting screens, Associations, Customer Enquiries, Invoices …….

Please note than many of the issues raised at the recent user group meeting have been addressed by this upgrade. The upgrade is available on disc to those who require but an administration charge is made for this service.

 
Go Remote For Ground Maintenance Officers

Interest in remote working increases all the time and a number of DTE Grounds software users (including Cherwell District Council, East Devon District Council, Rother District Council and Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council) have taken delivery of the DTE Remote application thus increasing the working options for their Grounds Maintenance teams.


DTE Remote allows the full functionally of DTE Grounds Maintenance software to be utilised outside of the office environment for the benefit of all Grounds Maintenance professionals to record/capture data. Using an appropriate remote device (Laptop, ThinkPad, ToughBook …..) Grounds Maintenance Officers can work from anywhere and ultimately synchronise with the main database upon there return or remotely using a GPRS/3G enabled mobile phone.
