We are pleased to announce the next Colony Allotment Software Users Group meeting. This will take place on Thursday June 18th, 2009. The venue this year has been provided by Calderdale Council and is the Mereside Visitor Centre located in Shibden Park, Halifax.
A day of news, views, issues, and discussion dedicated to Colony Allotment Software users. We look forward to welcoming yourself or colleagues to this important day.
All users are welcome to attend this day of intensive learning, discussion and conversation. Several members of the MCPC systems team will be on hand to answer questions, offer advice and listen to your comments.

All users can access these notes whether attendees or not. Of particular interest we hope will be the agreed system enhancements discussed which will be developed for the next scheduled release 4.4.00.

Would all Down To Earth Tree management software users please note that the next user group meeeting has been scheduled for Thursday 26th March, 2009.
This will take place in Rother Town Hall, Bexhill East Sussex. All relevant details to assist in planning your attendance at this valuable event will be forwarded to all users as a matter of course.
The user Group meetings are valuable days for all concerned with opportunities to learn more about DTE Trees, discuss various DTE Trees related topics and prompt future development. Support and development staff will be on hand throughout the day.

The MCPC Systems team is delighted to announce the release of the new Version 4, of its leading Allotment Management software, COLONY. This new version is a significant development which is available now to all current users.
All current users have been sent details regarding this upgrade and how they can smoothly progress the upgrade with the minimum of interruption to normal service provision.
COLONY Version 4 has been developed from the ground up using the latest MS dot net development platform for the main desktop application. This takes full advantage of the latest development technology.
COLONY Version 4 has a brand new SQL 2000 / 2005 database replacing the old MS Access or SQL 2000 database used for storing your data.
Some of the benefits of this new version include
- No further reliance on MS Office to run Colony
- Improved system security and user access settings.
- Easier deployment and management of system using your IT services preferred roll out methodology. E.g. Citrix, RDC …..
- Improved reporting tools.
- Smoother, easier to understand user interface with many enhanced features.
- Improved searching capability in all screens
- Full system audit functionality.
- Easier integration with other corporate systems i.e. Web Services, CRM systems, finance systems and GIS Mapping systems.
